Maroon Arts Group has been empowering Black artists and providing a platform for Black art since 2015.  It started as a collective of artists, activists, entrepreneurs, and community members.

Ingredients

  • 2 pumpernickel bagels (sliced into small thin rounds)
  • 3 cups Chex cereal (rice, wheat, or corn)
  • 1 cup grissini breadsticks (broken)
  • 1 cup broken pretzel sticks
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1 small onion (cut into 1-inch wedges)
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cholula or other hot sauce
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place bagel rounds on a large, rimmed baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until crisp, about 10-12 minutes. Transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add cereal, breadsticks and pretzel sticks.

In a small saucepan, combine butter, garlic and onion. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook until garlic is starting to turn brown around the edges, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat, strain garlic and onion, and pour seasoned butter into a bowl. Whisk in Worcestershire, Cholula and black pepper.

Add seasoned butter to the dry mix. Toss evenly to coat. Pour ontobakingsheet and spread out evenly. Bake until crisp, about 25 minutes.

Recipe is from the Party Time cookbook.
