Noa Even, saxophone, and composer Frank Wiley co-direct the New Music programming at Kent State University. They spoke with ideastream’s Bill O’Connell about making sure their students learn that there is more to being a classical musician in the 21st century than just mastering an instrument. They also discussed what they see as a growing interest in new music.
