A local Great Lakes expert received a standing ovation during a recent award ceremony for the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR).
WBFO’s Angelica Morrison spoke with UB Professor Helen Domske, the Senior Costal Education Coordinator for NY Sea Grant. Domske received the Vallentyne Award for her work in Great Lakes education and outreach.
Over the last 40 years she’s worked with teachers and students on range of topics, like invasive species and plastic pollution.
