Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has tested positive for COVID-19. First lady Fran DeWine also tested positive three days following the Governor's diagnosis.

The governor's office said DeWine was diagnosed Friday by his personal physician and has mild symptoms.

The governor tested positive for COVID-19 in August 2020, but that diagnosis was later determined to be a false positive.

The governor received a monoclonal antibody treatment early Friday evening.

"Both Governor DeWine and Mrs. DeWine are fully vaccinated, each having received the two-dose vaccination and a booster shot," the governor's Twitter account tweeted Friday.

The governor's office initially reported that First Lady Fran DeWine tested negative and was experiencing no symptoms, however, the office reported Monday that Fran DeWine had tested positive and was also experiencing mild symptoms.

DeWine is following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and is currently quarantined.
