The Ohio State University has worked out a partnership with the American Chemical Society (CAS). Beginning Monday, OSU will hold drive-thru COVID testing on the first floor of the CAS parking garage at 2540 Olentangy River Road.

For the past several months the OSU Wexner Medical Center has used a different testing site, but needed a larger site to expand testing capability. Officials said they tried to move back to the Fairgrounds where they had held testing for most of last winter but that testing site became unavailable.

Dr. Andy Thomas, Chief Clinical Officer at OSU Wexner Medical Center said the larger testing site is needed because the number COVID cases in Franklin County has doubled in the last seven days.

“We're actually having more cases per day now in Franklin County than we've had at any time during the previous part of the pandemic. At the same time, if you look in adult hospitals in Franklin County, we have more active COVID patients in the hospital right now than on any day during any of the pandemic, “ said Dr. Thomas.

The new COVID Testing site at Olentangy and Dodridge can test up to 1,000 people each day. Testing is being offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon by appointment only. Appointments can be made through MyChart or by calling 614-293-4000. More information on testing can be found here.
