I think of Music in Mid-Ohio as Classical 101’s tribute to the performing artists who live in this community. These days, with our concert halls closed and no performances before an audience, it’s a real joy to feature our local riches on the air.

August Music in Mid-Ohio programs feature a number of performances new to broadcast. Listen, enjoy, and celebrate the richness surrounding us in Central Ohio.

Let’s meet someday soon in the Ohio Theater, The Southern Theater, in our downtown churches, in the Lincoln Theater or the Davidson Theater. Let’s share a concert together in one of our area schools. Let’s sit with kids, with grandparents, with students and with anyone who loves the arts. We will. The day will come.

Until then, join me for Music in Mid-Ohio, Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. on Classical 101.
