Pledge to Support Classical 101, and Host Boyce Lancaster Might Bake You Muffins

WOSU Public Media

This Thursday, Classical 101 kicks off a two day on-air fundraising event. Generally these Fund Drives get a bit raucous, but this one is sure to take the cake - pun intended.

I just confirmed a few out-of-the-ordinary pledge benefits with none other than Boyce Lancaster. Benefits may include:

  • For a one-time pledge of $1,000, Boyce Lancaster will bake and send you fresh muffins.
  • For a one-time pledge of $5,000 hosts Boyce Lancaster and Christopher Purdy may sing the Pearl Fishers duet.
  • For a one-time generous pledge of $10,000, Christopher and Boyce will refrain from singing the Pearl Fishers duet. A noble cause, indeed.
  • For reference:

In all seriousness, this is a wonderful time to support the station that supports so many ensembles and musicians from Columbus and Ohio while also bringing the finest artists from around the world for interviews and new recordings nearly every week. Muffins aside, the donor benefits are a wonderful reminder of the impact your generosity makes for this public radio station. We are, in fact, held intact by listeners and readers like you.

Remember, when you join or renew your membership for $85 or more, you’ll receive the WOSU MemberCard and a year’s subscription to Newsweek magazine.
