Kenyon College A Cappella Group Gives First Public Concert

As the saying goes, there's a first time for everything. This Sunday, Dec. 14, the Kenyon College Männerchor will give its first public performance, according to the Kenyon College Collegian. The Männerchor began life earlier this year and as a spin-off of another Kenyon College vocal ensemble, Colla Voce, and under the name Colla Broce. Half of the groups' eight current members were friends who together started the ensemble. The other four members were admitted by audition. The group's music director, Andrew Perricone, envisions developing a performance repertoire rich in classical music and also performing joint concerts with Colla Voce. Read more:

The Kenyon College Männerchor performs Sunday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. at Brandi Recital Hall.

Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
