First Community Church Presents Carol Service Sunday, December 14

In my humble opinion, the First Community Church music program is one of finest in the country.  In addition to providing music for the regular services throughout the year, the Chancel Choir and Chamber Singers offer many special seasonal music services. As you can imagine, this time of year is a very busy one in the FCC music department.  This Sunday, December 14, at 4:30pm, the Chancel Choir and Chamber Singers of First Community Church, along with organist Robert Griffith, harpist Jeanne Norton, guitarist Karl Wohlwend, and Marimbist Christian Slagle, will present the 41st annual Carols for Christmas.  There is no charge for the concert, though a free-will offering will be taken. Along with this performance, you can hear the 2013 Carols for Christmas performance at 3pm Sunday on Classical 101. Ronald J. Jenkins, Minister of Music and Liturgy at First Community, took time out of his busy schedule to speak with me about this year's concert.
