The Harmony Project

Any time is the right time to celebrate The Harmony Project Columbus's outstanding all volunteer organization that combines singing with community outreach. Concerts are presented several times reach year, and each member is required to put in substantial volunteer service. Shelters, food pantries and schools benefit from the members of the Harmony Project, who, when not rehearsing and leading their own busy lives, are teaching, giving, working and healing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_vvCLbhZiY The indefatigable David Brown brought The Harmony Project to Columbus. This whirlwind of a man is smart, charming and I'm sure can be  a royal pain in the butt as he promotes the  Harmony Project and its work. Nothing stops him. He's never heard the word 'No'. We need an army of David Browns, but so far the one and only has accomplished a great deal for Columbus along with the many volunteers who sing and work for the community. Music for healing and for feeding people, building homes, giving medical care, and making life a little better. One day at a time. You can support The Harmony Project and help benefit your community by purchasing tickets to their December 2nd show here.

Christopher Purdy is Classical 101's early morning host, 7-10 a.m. weekdays. He is host and producer of Front Row Center – Classical 101’s weekly celebration of Opera and more – as well as Music in Mid-Ohio, Concerts at Ohio State, and the Columbus Symphony broadcast series. He is the regular pre-concert speaker for Columbus Symphony performances in the Ohio Theater.
