That is simplified Chinese for "Happy Holidays." Over 6,000 international students grace the campus of Ohio State this year, 60% of these young people come from China. So where do roughly 3,606 Chinese-speaking individuals go for the holidays, and where might they listen to music or religious services in their own language? The Ohio State Office of International Affairs is hosting a Holiday Celebration open to the public December 4th. The event will feature music from around the world, delicious food and a variety of winter holiday crafts, activities and traditions. All students are encouraged to attend and to bring friends. There is parking available at the venue, and a free bus loop from campus to the event will run from the Ohio Union at 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., and return from the venue at 9:30 p.m. or 10 p.m. Likewise, Columbus Chinese Christian Church is inviting the public to a Christmas service with music and dramatic presentations in both English and Chinese. That will take place December 19th at 8:00pm at 4141 Maize Road, Columbus, OH 43224.
