Beethoven was a complex person whose name always comes up when the question of favorite composers arises. In the 21st century, however, he would be a human resources nightmare.  Most scholars agree that Beethoven spoke his mind, with little filtering - and wasn't the neatest of people when it came to how he lived.  This makes me wonder what his brother was thinking when he decided to let Beethoven raise his son.
