Angels and Demons: A Menu Fit for The Columbus Symphony

"Where are we going to eat?" Before finding your seat and waiting for the curtain to rise, before the orchestra settles on the concert pitch, do you ask yourself or your concert mate the age-old question, 'what's for dinner?' Once you have purchased tickets for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra's fantastic program Angels and Demons, we've got your dinner plans covered. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra has arranged a program of diabolical and heavenly music sure to whet any appetite. Vladimir Kulenovic will be conducting the orchestra featuring soloists Liza Ferschtman (violin) and Betsy Sturdevant ( bassoon) for performances October 31 and November 1.

The Menu:

Barcelona: La Diabla

Music: Schubert's Overture from the opera, Des Teufels Lustschloss ("The Devil's Pleasure Palace")

The 'La Diabla' cocktail features a housemade mango and habenero El Jimador tequila with pineapple juice and a garnish of cilantro and lime. How diabolical.

This unique and mouth-watering combination is commonly known as "The Elvis." If you have time before curtain call, try a fried Twinkie and one of their local beers.

Jeni's Ice Cream: Anything.

Music: Aaron Kernis's Musica Celestis

When asked which creation Jeni herself would describe as 'celestial', she chose the signature lime cardamum biodynamic yogurt.
