11 Year Old Busker Meets His Hero, Joshua Bell

As reported recently in NPR's Deceptive Cadence, an 11 year old violinist named Dylan Hamme got to meet and play a duet with his music idol, Joshua Bell, on live national television no less.  It seems he was busking on 5th Avenue near Rockefeller Center and was asked in to the NBC studio of the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. In what was supposed to be a "surprise" meeting and impromptu duet, they seem pretty sure of exactly what they are going to do, but it's still lots of fun and 11 year old Dylan seems like a pretty talented young fellow.  It turns out that Joshua Bell had appeared on the Today Show when he was just 14 years old, and there's just a bit of that on the video, too. Of course, Johua Bell has his own experience of busking on video.  Back in 2007 in a Washington D.C. Metro station, he set himself up incognito (that is, in a baseball cap) to see if people would stop and listen to the music.  Surprisingly few stopped to listen to the music, but then Washington is an "on-the-go" kind of town. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnOPu0_YWhw
