Whenever someone asks Timothy Russell, Conductor Emeritus of ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, about his favorite composer or piece of music, he has a saying he likes to pull out.  "Whatever I'm conducting at the moment." That is a simple answer to a complex question - but an honest one - for anyone in the music business.  Even when asked for a top ten list, it's difficult.  Once you get to ten, the "what abouts" begin.  What about Beethoven's symphonies?  What about Mozart's violin concertos?  See what I mean?
