But for some music and dance students, a flash mob performance of the Waltz of the Flowers from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker seems to be bringing more love - not more punishment - at Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital. Forty students from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance performed the famous Tchaikovsky waltz at Hadassah Hospital on Good Deeds Day 2013, a holiday that originated in Israel in 2007 as "an annual celebration of good deeds," according to the Good Deeds Day website. People in more than 50 countries participated in the celebration in 2012. And like Good Deed Day itself, musical performances at Hadassah Hospital are now increasing. The students who performed the flash mob at the hospital have scheduled regular performances there.
