Top 10 Classical Alleluias that aren't by Handel

Handel's Messiah, specifically his Hallelujah Chorus, is a perennial favorite this time of year.  However, there are other great "alleluias" which would certainly serve to make your season bright if we set aside Handel for a moment.

You'll recognize some of these, while others may be unfamiliar. Â My gift to you this holiday season is the discovery of something new for your music collection...enjoy!

If the only thing you love more than hearing the Hallelujah Chorus is singing it, you have an opportunity to do just that this Friday.  It's the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra annual Messiah Sing-a-Long at the Southern Theatre.   Festivities begin at 7:30 pm.  Bring your score and join in, or just enjoy hearing friends, family members, and choirs join forces with orchestra students, area music directors and the musicians of ProMusica.
