Classical 101

Classical 101's Jennifer Hambrick Talks Chamber Music This Sat.

One of the delights of my job as Classical 101's mid-day host is that I get to meet and talk with some of the world's finest musicians about something we all love: music. This Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m., join me at the Southern Theatre for a conversation with the musicians of Trio Solisti - deemed "the most exciting piano trio in America" by The New Yorker magazine - and guest violist Hsin-Yun Huang before their concert on the Chamber Music Columbus series. We'll talk about life on the roan in an award-winning chamber ensemble and what it's like to be a guest musician "visiting" with an established group. Hope to see you Saturday at 7 at the Southern Theatre! Trio Solisti and violist Hsin-Yun Huang perform Schumann's Fantasy Pieces for piano trio, Op. 88; Brahms' Piano Trio in B, Op. 8; and Dvorak's Piano Quartet in E-flat, Op. 87.

Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
