Plans are on hold for a concert once envisioned to be performed by North and South Korean musicians and conducted by South Korean conductor Myung-Whun Chung, according to a report on NPR's Deceptive Cadence blog. Chung, who conducts the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, will instead lead his French orchestra and members of North Korea's Unhasu Orchestra in a joint performance in Paris' Salle Pleyel later this month. The Los Angeles Times reports that North Korea rejected Chung's proposed joint performance by North and South Korean musicians. Read more:
