Joshua Bell Lookalike Burglarizes Violinist's Hotel Room

A man claiming to be Joshua Bell gained access to the violinist's hotel room in Zaragoza, Spain, allegedly stealing his expensive wristwatch and his laptop, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times. The good news: Bell was performing on his Stradivarius violin, for which Bell reportedly paid nearly four million dollars, at the time of the incident. But this isn't the first time Bell's violin - the so-called Gibson ex-Huberman Stradivarius - has come face to face with violin thieves. The instrument was stolen twice - including once from backstage at Carnegie Hall -while in the possession of violinist Bronisław Huberman. Read more:
