Tenor Salvatore Licitra Dead at 43

The Italian tenor Salvatore Licitra, who rose to opera fame after filling in for Pavarotti at the Metropolitan Opera, died yesterday, just over a week after suffering a brain hemorrhage and a motor scooter accident in Sicily, according to a report in the New York Times.
