It was only a matter of time before all those practical smartphone apps got artsy. And Richard Daniels' time has come. According to the New York Times, he's the creative force behind Dances for an iPhone, a still-new app developed by Samuel Toulouse that transmits well known dancers' performances of Daniels' dances choreographed specially for the iPhone platform. Rebecca Rigert, one of the dancers for whom Daniels is choreographing an iPhone duet, says Dances for an iPhone offer beautiful microbreaks from daily hustle and bustle.
. . . you pull out your iPhone and thereâs this beautiful little jewel of art right in front of you with no big bells and whistles . . . Itâs as though youâre sitting in the middle of a beautiful park. And then you go back to your day.
