Louisville Orchestra Details Plan To Emerge From Bankruptcy
The Louisville Orchestra (previously mentioned in A NY Times article putting a positive spin on the arts bankruptcy crisis) has submitted a plan for getting out of bankruptcy one day early. The proposal, detailing how it expects to pay off its creditors and increase cash flow over the next 12 months, will be considered in a hearing on July 26 when the U.S. Bankruptcy Court will decide whether or not to approve the plan.
New York Philharmonic Needs A Home (For Now)
The New York City Opera isn't the only New York musical institution that may be looking for a new home soon. The New York Philharmonic may also temporarily relocate as part of a plan to renovate their present home in Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall.
