ADAM: Event If you've ever been to the Horse Shoe on a Saturday afternoon between August and January, then you know Columbus loves its largest resident brass band. But the off-season tends to leave few alternatives for TBDBITL enthusiasts. This weekend, Chamber Music Columbus will offer a solution to this problem (that is, unless you absolutely cannot live without the white spats) when Cleveland's fabulous Burning River Brass performs live Saturday, Jan 22. at 8 p.m. at the Southern Theatre right here in beautiful Downtown Cbus. Smaller than a marching band, bigger than a brass quintet, Burning River Brass packs a punch with repertory ranging from J.S. Bach to Leonard Bernstein, from the Toreador Song of Bizet's breathtaking opera Carmen to the adrenaline-pumping scores of the silver screen. Why, here's the Burning River Brass now with a little Bach to whet your appetite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSHZcLWaAM8 Sound enticing? Read more about Burning River Brass here, and click here for a chance to win tickets. The Cuyahoga's namesake Burning River Brass might just give you another reason to shout OH - IO!
