Edith Piaf

For my last post of 2010, I want to share one of my favorite performances of anything: The great French singer Edith Piaf performing Les Trois Cloches ("Three Bells"). In this performance of Les Trois Cloches, Piaf is accompanied by the french vocal group Les Compagnons de la chanson. Les Trois Cloches tells the story of Jean-Francois Nicot (the French equivalent of "John Doe") who never leaves his little village in the midst of a valley. This song and this performance were sensations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbQUuTQuYoU Enjoy it. And Happy New Year!
