Tan Dun's YouTube Symphony

Last year, one of the interesting uses of the internet was composer Tan Dun's creation of his "Internet Symphony No. 1: Eroica." Musicians from around the world submitted YouTube videos of themselves performing Tan Dun's music as an audition. The best players were selected to form the "YouTube Symphony Orchestra" for a performance of that piece and other works at a concert at Carnegie Hall, which took place last April. I hadn't heard the audition piece, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a very polished performance of it with the composer conducting the London Symphony Orchestra on - surprise, surprise - YouTube.
