Wellness Wednesday:End-of-Life, Exercise and the Brain, Flu Season

11 am

It's pumpkin spice season, but that means the start of flu season in central Ohio.  This year’s outbreak has sent almost 30 people to the hospital already. Coming up on Wellness Wednesday, we’ll hear why now is the time for a flu shot. We'll also discuss the case of the young terminal cancer patient who took her life this weekend, and dispel the myth of the dumb jock.

Guests

  • Dr. Philip Santa-Emma, Medical Director of Mount Carmel Palliative Care Service
  • Bernadette Melnyk, Dean of the Ohio State School of Nursing, Chief Wellness Officer
  • Dr. Teresa Long, Commissioner of  Columbus Public Health
