Gay Rights/Gay Pride Celebration in Columbus

11:00

Has the gay rights movement reached another level, where-in its non-gay sympathizers help lead the way forward? This year’s Columbus Pride Festival is themed “Allies and Equality." It's obvious that Mayor Michael Coleman, along with a slew of business leaders that support the movement in backdoor ways, work around laws that still ban gay marriage and the rights that go with it. On this hour of "All Sides," we’ll hear about pride week, and talk about marriage and equality.

Guests

  • Karla Rothan (Executive Director, Stonewall Columbus)
  • Zach Klein (Columbus City Council Member/Chair, Development Committee)
  • John Caron and Chad Eberle (local married gay partners)
  • Marc Spindelman (Law Professor, OSU Moritz College of Law)

Event

The Columbus Pride Festival will take place this weekend in Columbus. It will be held at Goodale Park on Fri., June 15 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sat. June 16 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here for more information.
