US-Korea Free Trade Agreement/Global Food Security

Last month President Obama said the US-South Korean free trade agreement will create jobs in the U.S. and benefit American workers. The trade deal passed Congress, but faces surprising opposition in South Korea.  Today on "All Sides," South Korea’s Ambassador to the U.S. discusses what the pact means for Ohio’s economy.

  • Han Duk-soo (South Korean Ambassador to the United States)

One in seven people in the world goes to bed hungry every night. Not because there isn't enough food, but because they don’t have access to resources like fertile land and water. On this segment of "All Sides," we talk about meeting the challenges of global food security.

  • Gawain Kripke (Director of Policy and Research, Oxfam America)

Thurs., Nov. 17, 2011, Gawain is in town for a Columbus Council on World Affairs Signature Luncheon on global food security. It will be held from 12 - 1 p.m. at WOSU at COSI. For more information visit the Columbus Council on World Affairs.
