WOSU Public Media Offers Live Virtual After School Program

COLUMBUS, OHIO, SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 – WOSU Classroom is providing yet another way to extend learning outside the classroom. Starting on September 6, the new After School 360 live virtual webinar series is available every Tuesday at 4pm. This program helps fill the gap between the excellent educational support teachers provide in the classroom and the transition to after school programs and families at home.

A part of the Ohio Learns 360 project, After School 360 continues through May 2023 and includes read-along stories, clips of favorite PBS KIDS shows, hands-on activities and more. Each live, virtual session is led by a local PBS educational staff member.

“This program offers learning opportunities easily accessed from the comfort of home, provided by experts that know how to turn learning into fun experiences for kids,” said Amy Palermo, chief content director, WOSU Classroom. “This is a great series for after school supplemental learning as well as a way for families to spend valuable time working and having fun together.”
