Gary Siders Jr., along with his wife and parents, have each been charged with 19 counts of child endangerment.

Gary Siders Jr. was arraigned Wednesday morning on charges in another case, involving a child that was not his own.

The Vinton County man facing multiple felony charges involving his own 16 children pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to charges he sexually abused the child. Court records say he is the child's uncle.

Gary Siders Jr. entered the plea at his arraignment in Vinton County Court of Common Pleas. He was indicted last week on two counts each of sexual battery and unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

Siders was arrested in late June after officers found his children living in deplorable conditions in their home in Hamden. He faces 19 counts of endangering children in that case.

The discovery of the children was a result of the investigation into the other case.

Siders, along with his wife and parents, who also face charges, are currently being evaluated to determine whether they are competent to stand trial.
