The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting eight inches to a foot of snow in central Ohio this weekend.

The storm is set to hit Saturday afternoon and continue to Sunday afternoon, with wind chill temperatures predicted to drop to -10 degrees.

The National Weather Service also predicts sleet or freezing rain in some areas. High winds can also make road treatments difficult. NWS recommends checking road conditions before driving.

Southern central Ohio is expected to receive even more snow. Current models predict a significant risk of sleet.

Models are likely to change as the storm approaches. The National Weather Service said as models update and become more accurate, snow levels will likely increase.
