The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat watch for central Ohio from Sunday June 22 through Tuesday June 24.
Daily high temperatures will be in the 90s beginning Saturday with the forecast calling for highs of 97 on Monday and Tuesday.
Meteorologist Matthew Campbell of the National Weather Service in Wilmington warns that hot and humid conditions can be dangerous and people should protect themselves. If you can, try to stay inside with the air conditioning on during this heat watch.
"Make sure you're aware that the heat can be dangerous and take whatever precautions you need to to keep yourself safe," Campbell said.
He said everyone should be drink water, wear light colored and loose-fitting clothes and stay in the shade if they're going outdoors.

Signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke include heavy sweating, nausea, dizziness, confusion and extreme thirst.
After Tuesday, Ohio will likely be getting showers and thunderstorms that could lower temperatures.
