Masks will no longer be required in at least one central Ohio hospital

Nationwide Children's Hospital told employees this week that starting next week, employees, patients and families will not be required to wear masks in most parts of the hospital.

Staff will still have to mask up in certain units or if they are feeling unwell.

A spokesperson with Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center could not confirm whether the hospital would also be ending its mask requirements soon.

Mt. Carmel Health Systems and OhioHealth Riverside Hospital did not immediately return requests for comment about the possibility of ending their mask policies.
