More than a million Ohioans have already cast ballots for this November’s presidential election.

Secretary of State Jon Husted’s office reports 1.3 million applications for mail in ballots have been received. Of those, a little more than 766,000 have been returned.  As of the close of business Friday, almost 289,000 Ohioans have voted absentee ballots at their county’s designated early vote centers. And nearly 9,300 military and overseas voters have cast their ballots. This weekend was the first for early in person voting on Saturdays and Sundays but those totals are not included in the most recent figures. The Secretary of State's office won’t be keeping daily totals or totals from weekend voting only, though the county boards of elections do.
