Raeghan Buchanan is artist, writer and musician. Much of her work consists of portraits of Black writers and musicians, a theme she explores in her debut comic book, The Secret History of Black Punk: Record Zero.

This conversation was recorded live at a Small Joys event at WOSU headquarters.

Raeghan and Hanif talk about the history of punk, how they discover new music and why getting ice cream near a cemetery is does not make the best first date.

A quick note for sensitive or younger listeners, there are a few curse words in this episode.

Funding for Small Joys with Hanif Abdurraqib is provided by The Columbus Foundation and the and the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
