A temporary freeze on student loan payments is set to expire Dec. 31, adding a financial burden back on those already struggling through a pandemic-induced economic crisis.
President-elect Joe Biden has proposed $10,000 in student-loan forgiveness for all borrowers.
Critics argue that student-loan forgiveness is a regressive transfer of wealth helping those who, thanks to their degree, have the ability to pay their debt off.
