Man Throws Gasoline On Girlfriend, Sets Her On Fire

A Columbus man was indicted Thursday for allegedly throwing gasoline on his girlfriend, and setting her on fire.

The Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted Michael Slager, 40, on counts of arson and assault.

The incident occurred behind a Speedway gas station at Stygler and Agler roads.

His girlfriend, 31-year old Judith Malinowski, remains in critical condition.

Franklin county prosecutor Ron O'Brien says if convicted Slager faces more then ten years in prison. Slager is due back in court August 17.
