Sentencing Delayed For Former OSU Pediatrician In Child Porn Case

Sentencing is delayed for a former top pediatrician at Ohio State University who pleaded guilty to accessing child pornography. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Columbus says the defense requested the postponement of Friday's scheduled sentencing for Christopher Pelloski, former director of Ohio State University's pediatric cancer radiation program. His attorneys didn't immediately respond to calls regarding the reason for the delay. Prosecutors are seeking a four-year prison sentence. Pelloski has cited a troubled childhood and his own sexual abuse as a boy as he seeks a lighter sentence. His attorneys say he compensated for his childhood by becoming an overachiever but also dealt with stress by abusing alcohol. Federal prosecutors say his conduct went back several years and involved disturbing images. A criminal complaint accused Pelloski of downloading child pornography, including videos and photos.
