Hudson replaces long-time board member Carol Perkins who recently retired. Hudson, an attorney, directed the Ohio Insurance Department and was a member of the Columbus City Council. Hudson will serve on the board's audit and accountability committee and said the district’s organizational structure is a matter she looks forward to tackling. “They’re initiating a process to do away with policy governance and move to a more participatory governance and I look forward to working with the board on that," she said. Hudson joins the school board at a critical time. It’s new superintendent Dan Good is trying to move the district forward following an attendance and grade rigging scandal.
