Funeral For Six Killed In Central Ohio Car Crash

A husband and wife and their four daughters killed in a car crash involving an Upper Arlington police officer are set to be laid to rest Saturday. The funeral of the six family members will be held in the early evening after regular prayers at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center just outside of Columbus. The crash killed 39-year-old Eid Badi Shahad and his wife, 31-year-old Entisar Hameed. Their four daughters ranged in age from 2 to 16 years old. A social worker who knows the family says they're Iraqi refugees who came to the U.S. about three years ago. Majeda Mohammad says Shahad and his wife leave behind four sons who were home with their grandmother at the time of the crash. She says the family is shocked and grief-stricken.
