Ohio Woman Killed, Man Injured In 2-Vehicle Crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed one driver and left another hospitalized. The patrol's Sandusky post reported the collision occurred at 6:55 a.m. Saturday in Perkins Township. Killed was 63-year-old Bertha Anne Wobser of Bellevue, who was driving eastbound on Bogart Road when she traveled left of center and struck the vehicle driven by Richard T. Carter, 65, of Sandusky. Wobser's vehicle went off the road and landed in a ditch. Wobser drove a Plymouth Voyager, and Carter drove a GMC Sierra. Jaws were used to extract Carter from his vehicle. He was flown to St. Vincent's Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Information on Carter's condition was not available from the hospital Sunday.
