Administrators at Columbus State Community College say police have arrested the man who reportedly ran into a campus hall and stabbed an instructor. Columbus State spokesman David Wayne says 45-year-old Isaac Rotich was arrested Monday evening after officials called him a person of interest in the morning stabbing of a part-time statistics professor. The professor, who was stabbed in the stomach, was taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Wayne says Rotich is not a student, but the two men know each other. "This is not a random act. It was somebody who came onto our campus." Wayne says Rotich will be charged with felonious assault. School officials say they don't yet know a motive. The stabbing occurred in the first-floor lobby of Davidson Hall, a general building with classes and offices.
