Rick Santorum continues to gain momentum as he garners another endorsement in the Midwest. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine switched his support Friday from candidate Mitt Romney to back Rick Santorum who is closing in on the front runner. DeWine said he thought Romney was the candidate who should be president. But the former U.S. Representative said Romney has not given the public any rationale for their support, but DeWine said Santorum has. âHe has run his campaign on what truly matters: on the issues," he said. And with the endorsement from DeWine, Santorum hopes the momentum continues with big wins in Michigan and on Super Tuesday. âJust very, very grateful that he would step forward in this fashion and lead a spark here in the state of Ohio that I think is going to deliver us a great victory on Super Tuesday," Santorum said. Santorum will spend the weekend in Ohio campaigning for the nomination.
