Have computers replaced the need for the next guitar?

Why Is It So Hard for New Musical Instruments to Catch On?

When was the last time someone a can't-miss performance on the the Eigenharp, the Tenori-on, or the Harpejji?  Never?  Most likely.  At first glance, the Eigenharp resembles the fretboard of a guitar.  Then you discover it has a mouthpiece, somewhat similar to the bocal on a bassoon on the larger units, yet it's a midi instrument which plugs into your computer's usb port.  The Tenori-on looks like one of those Litebrite toys you give your kids.
