Benefits of Volunteering with WOSU Public Media

There are many great benefits for volunteering with WOSU Public Media, both tangible and abstract. We’ve mentioned a few below:
• That good feeling you get from being a part of something bigger than yourself.
• Being a part of the WOSU Family.
• Giving back to your community.
• Supporting Public Broadcasting.
• Be a part of the behind-the-scenes action.
• Entered into drawings for various community partner tickets.
• Featured in our e-newsletter, volunteer web page, and Airfare magazine.
• Invitations to WOSU special events.
• Annual awards to honor our volunteers.
• Over 50 volunteer hours in a year earns an invite to our annual Holiday Party.

Facebook BadgeVolunteers are essential in helping to provide quality services to the community. It all starts with you! As WOSU grows, so does our need for volunteers. We are looking for both individual and group volunteers, and we will train you for any job you wish to perform. We are also looking for students!

We are Searching for Two Kinds of Volunteers!

Individual volunteers. Meet new friends and learn about public radio and television in the process! We need phone volunteers, tabulators, special events assistants, tour guides, data entry assistants, and more.

Group volunteers. Get exposure for your nonprofit social or service organization and show support for public television. We need enthusiastic phone volunteers to answer pledge calls during television drives.

By becoming a WOSU volunteer, you'll help support public radio and television—meet new people—learn new skills, give something back to the community—make a difference! Join our winning team today! Contact our Volunteer Office at (614) 292-9678 or email us at wosu@edu for more information.

(Anyone expressing interest in volunteering with us will be subjected to background checks)
