NPR’s Talk of the Nation to Broadcast LIVE from Columbus

 

Neal Conan, host of National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation, along with Ken Rudin, NPR's Political Editor,  bring the highly acclaimed NPR program to Columbus at the WOSU@COSI studios on October 8, 2008, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm for a live national broadcast. The program will examine the presidential campaign and how Ohio is once again a key battleground state in the national election.

Talk of the Nation, the midday voice of NPR News, offers public radio listeners discussion on the issues of the day and the issues behind the headlines in a talk show format. Listeners are able to express their opinions of the issues being considered by calling 1-800-989-TALK. The live audience for the broadcast at WOSU@COSI will have the opportunity to pose questions and offer comments during the show.

Hour 1: Presidential debate recap with Ken Rudin. Also: Sherri Geldin from the Wexner Center will discuss the Andy Warhol exhibit now showing at the Wexner.

Hour 2: The role race plays in Ohio/midwest politics, with john powell, Executive Director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity.
