Richard Strauss’s exquisite comedy set at the court of Maria Theresa. Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Christa Ludwig, and Herbert von Karajan. This recording is presented in honor of Christa Ludwig’s 80th birthday and as a centennial tribute to Karajan.
