BIZET: Les pecheurs de perles (The Pearl Fishers)
Opening night of Opera Columbus’s 2008-2009 season, recorded in performance in the Ohio Theatre. William Boggs conducts the Columbus Symphony, with Vale Rideout, Brian Bannion and Philip Cutlip.

PUCCINI: Turandot
Puccini’s final opera, performed last January by Opera Columbus. William Boggs conducts the Columbus Symphony, with Othalie Graham and Randolph Locke.

The classic German romantic opera by Carl Maria von Weber complete with a haunted forest. Rudolph Schock and Elisabeth Gruemmer star with the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Joseph Keilberth.

Beverly Sills’ 80th birthday
Beloved American soprano Beverly Sills (1929-2006) stars as Donizetti’s Anna Bolena (Anne Boleyn), with Shirley Verrett, Paul Plishka and Stuart Burrows. Plus selections from Manon, La traviata, Giulio Cesare and The Ballad of Baby Doe.
