POLICY FOR POSTING TO WOSU DISCUSSION FORUMS:
You can help keep these forums clear of inappropriate posts that violate the site’s terms of service by alerting the moderators to any questionable posts.

Guidelines:
The WOSU Discussions forum is open to everyone. If you have not already reviewed the terms of use agreement, please take a moment to read the principles below that apply to forum participation.
WOSU’s online forum is a place to share ideas in a public space with integrity and respect. It is not a place for bullies, vulgarity, or hucksters. If you break the rules, your comments will be removed. If you repeatedly break the rules, your commenting privileges will be removed. There are two ways comments can be removed from the forum: 1) By a WOSU staff member who deems it in violation of the rules and regulations set forth below. 2) By being flagged by others in the forum community. WOSU has the right to reinstate material that has been flagged inappropriately by others.
WOSU generally does not pre-screen or edit other content that is posted, but it reserves the right to edit or remove any content that does not comply with the following:
You agree that you will not post links to websites WOSU and The Ohio State University consider unsuitable, including those that contain racist, pornographic or potentially defamatory material, or that promote commercial products and services without containing material that enhances the subject matter. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned;
You also agree that all posts and comments express the views and opinions of the author and not WOSU’s sponsor organizations or administrator/s (except for posts by these people), and therefore neither WOSU, nor The Ohio State University, nor its sponsor organizations will be held liable.
* We don’t allow obscene, racist, or sexually explicit language.
* Personal attacks aren’t permitted. While WOSU may bring some controversial issues into the realm of discussion, we expect each of you to focus your remarks on positions and not persons. We reserve the right to remove comments we deem threatening, abusive insulting, defaming, or hateful, off topic or not in English.
* It is illegal to harass or threaten others or to suggest or encourage illegal activity and we take this kind of behavior seriously. Comments that might be construed as such may be deleted and made available to the proper law enforcement officials.
* Please stay on topic. Do your best to keep all posts to a few paragraphs.
* You should own the copyrights to all the material you post to the forum. If you need to link to relevant content or quote other people’s work with attribution, please be sure to use no more than a few lines summarizing the article and include a link to the original URL.
* Respect other people’s privacy. Please don’t post phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers or any other private information. We would discourage posting this kind of information about yourself as well.
* We reserve the right not to publicize allegations, conspiracy theories, and other information which we know to be false or unsubstantiated.
* Please don’t use the public forums for private communications. If you need to contact someone here at WOSU, please use the Contact Us page.
* Choose a user name carefully. You may not use names that are offensive, suggest illegal activities, or that are meant to imitate other users. Any such names will be blocked from commenting on our forums.
* Please don’t post the same comment more than once. Multiple posts containing the same material will be removed.
* Participate at your own risk when online. Take responsibility for your comments under your user name. WOSU takes no responsibility for the content or opinions of others posted here.
