Open Line

Weekdays, 10 am to 12 noon, 7pm to 9 pm

Weekday mornings, Fred Andrle hosts his award-winning talk program. Fred's show features fascinating national and local guests. He guides an intelligent and balanced discussion on topics ranging from politics to literature, music to science, health to finance, and psychology to science fiction.

Once in a while, Fred allows video cameras to tape his interviews, and we will post the results below. The first two episodes show Fred with President E. Gordon Gee.

Open Line with Fred Andrle on WOSU 820 AM welcomed E. Gordon Gee, The Ohio State University’s 14th president, to the show. The show was recorded on December 12.

The live broadcast from the Battelle Studio at WOSU@COSI, was open to the public. Returning to the place he called the university of the ‘American dream,’ Gee discusses what it’s like to be a two-time president of The Ohio State University. Andrle asks Gee about education in America and his goals for the future of The Ohio State University. Gee also addresses questions from audience members and callers.
